The 30 mph version can be federally registered as a motor-driven cycle, which means in many places you can ride it on a regular driver's license, and Pave handles titling and registration at purchase. Pick the one that matches how and where you actually plan to ride, because the legal status is the whole point of the split. A faster top speed is not worth much if it means you cannot legally ride it where you live.
The range claim is a best-case, single-pack number. Here is the arithmetic, plus what the "150 mile" figure really means.
Step 1, real energy in the tank. Pave publishes a 1.96 kWh removable pack at 50.4 V. The exact amp-hour figure is not published, so we use the kWh directly.
Step 2, how much you spend per mile. Consumption (Wh/mi) rises with speed. At a gentle pace a light moped sips; held near 40 mph it costs more per mile.
Charge time is just battery size ÷ charger power, and on a small, removable pack the real win is where you can charge it.

"Fast charging" is meaningless without the charger's wattage. A small, removable pack like this one refills quickly off any outlet.
