The headline gap. The claim is not a lie, it is a best-case figure at gentle speeds on the larger pack. Here is the arithmetic.
Step 1, real energy in the tank. Range starts with how much energy the pack holds: voltage × amp-hours. The CORE platform is 72V nominal, in pack sizes of roughly 1.8, 4.4 and 5.5 kWh. The spec here is a ~4.8 kWh pack.
Step 2, how much you spend per mile. Consumption (Wh/mi) is the whole game, and it explodes with speed because drag rises with the square of speed. Gentle street riding can sip ~60 Wh/mi; hard off-road or sustained highway speed pushes well past 200 Wh/mi.
~75 mph in its top mode. Genuinely a real number. But holding that speed is exactly what destroys the range above.
Held near top speed, the bike draws hard just to maintain pace, so consumption spikes. Run the same range formula pinned, on one pack:
So the "75 mph" and the "75 miles" on the same spec sheet are mutually exclusive: you get one or the other, never both. That is the most important thing the marketing never says out loud, and why the swappable pack matters more than any range headline.
Charge time is just battery size ÷ charger power, but the District's real charging story is that you can pull the pack out and charge it anywhere.

Consumption is the lever: ~60 Wh/mi gentle, ~100 mixed, 200+ hard or at highway speed. Drag rises with speed².
Always ask which number a spec quotes. Peak sells bikes; continuous moves them.
"Fast charging" is meaningless without the charger's wattage. The ×1.1 covers losses and taper.
